Hanahan WR Chris Brown had planned to attend USC’s game this past weekend with Kentucky with his dad. But his dad’s plans changed and he wasn’t able to get a ride to Columbia. Brown now plans to be on hand for USC’s next home game against Florida.
Brown currently is committed to Notre Dame but USC remains a strong contender. “I’m going to stay open,” he said. “It (the commitment) is not set in stone. I just felt comfortable making the commitment. But if an opportunity comes along and I feel I need to go elsewhere, I will.”
Brown talked with USC receivers coach Steve Spurrier Junior about a week and a half ago and has a clear idea of his thinking. “They still want me,” Brown said. “He said they are sticking with me and he wants me to come there.”
Brown said Notre Dame and USC are the only schools he’s considering. His Notre Dame official visit has been his only visit thus far this season.
Never miss a local story.
Brown suffered a broken collarbone in week two and expects to be back on the field for the first time since then this Friday.
