WR Quinshad Davis of Gaffney posted more eye-popping numbers Friday night, numbers which no doubt will catch the attention of recruiters. The Shrine Bowl selection had eight catches for 205 yards and 4 touchdowns in a win over Lancaster.
Davis has held off on making his college decision choosing instead to focus on his senior season. That decision may have cost him with USC and Clemson as both have practically filled their classes. However, Clemson did have a receiver spot open up when Bryce McNeil left and has revived its interest in Dais.
"I talked with Coach ( Jeff) Scott last Wednesday," Davis said Friday night. "He just told me to be patient."
Davis said he's not heard much from USC though he has the Gamecocks on his short list along with Clemson, Wake Forest, NC State and Georgia. He said there is no favorite. He will make his decision after the Shrine Bowl.
Davis visited Wake Forest last weekend. He said he has thought about going to the Clemson game Saturday but did not think he would make it.
