LB Jacarthy Mack of Lithonia, GA made his first junior day visit last Saturday to USC along with his teammate OL Joshua Outlaw. He spent most of his time with recruiter Lorenzo Ward and new linebackers coach Kirk Botkin.
“I liked their personalities and felt comfortable around them,” Mack said. “I really enjoyed the coaches and liked the locker room and the atmosphere.”
Mack plays defensive end and outside linebacker. “They talked to me about playing will linebacker. It doesn’t matter, I just want to play early,” he said.
Mack said he does not have a favorite and has no timetable for a decision. USC is his first offer and he’s also getting interest from Clemson, Auburn, Florida, Florida State and Miami. He plans to go to a junior day at each.
His coach compares Mack to Kenderius Whiteside who signed last week with NC State.
