QB Carlis Parker of Statesville, NC was at North Carolina Wednesday for a mid-week junior day and the Duke basketball game. He also has been to Clemson and NC State for junior days. He was invited to USC but didn't make it because he had no transportation.
Parker has offers from USC, North Carolina, Wake Forest, East Carolina, NC State and Virginia Tech. “He's still wide open for everyone,” said his coach Randall Gusler. USC recruiter Shawn Elliott checked in on Parker and his teammate RB Tristan Mumford in late January. “He is showing some strong interest,” Gusler said of Elliott.
Parker won't make a decision until his senior season.
Mumford has offers from East Carolina, NC State and Wake Forest. He was invited to Clemson's junior day but went to East Carolina instead. He was at USC's Showcase Camp last summer.
