OL Justin Evans (6-6 265) of Wilson has offers from East Carolina, Virginia Tech and Tennessee with interest from USC and Clemson among others, according to coach Darryl Page.
"I suspect Clemson may offer after he takes a junior day visit there," Page said. "Coach (Danny) Pearman has done a really good job of recruiting him."
Evans is playing basketball which has made visiting schools difficult. He will likely begin that process following the season. "My job is to inform his family on what is out there and let them make those decisions," said Evans' coach. "I would imagine they would be interested in the in-state teams but I don't want to put words in their mouths. Both schools are top 25 programs with a lot of recent sucess and are very close to home."
Coach Page says the Gamecocks has begun to show interest in Evans as well. "I can imagine they're very interested in him as well since he is one of the top players in the state," he said. "They have shown a renewed interest."
Page is unsure whether Evans has a leader.
