OL Na’Ty Rodgers of Pomfret, MD has offers from across the county and he now has a top five.
USC is in the group and that’s no surprise. The Gamecocks have been strong with Rodgers for months. Clemson is also in the five and that’s a little surprising because Rodgers hasn’t been saying much about the Tigers.
“I was watching some film on them and I’ve talked to their coaches a lot more,” Rodgers said. “They are building something nice there.”
Rodgers also has stayed in regular contact with USC recruiters GA Mangus and Shawn Elliott. “South Carolina is still the number one visit I’ve had,” he said. “I can’t say they are #1 but South Carolina is definitely in the running for that. Everything is adding up. The SEC is big. At first it wasn’t that big of a deal but after hearing all the stats, it’s sounding nice to me.”
Rodgers also knows USC has almost filled up on the offensive line. “They’ve taken four of the five offensive linemen they are going to take,” he said.
Arkansas, Oklahoma and Washington round out the top five. Rodgers plans to take official visits to his top five and will make his decision at the Semper Fidelis AA Game or on signing day.
