Defensive back Brendan Langley of Marietta, Ga., one of the prized recruits in USC's 2013 recruiting class, is now one of the prized recruits in Georgia's 2013 class.
Langley announced Tuesday that he is now committed to Georgia. He said he contacted USC last Thursday to inform them of the news.
Langley visited Georgia four times in recent months, including the past weekend. He wants to play basketball and football in college and said Georgia gives him the best opportunity for that.
"South Carolina really wasn't in to me doing that," Langley said in a video interview on ESPN.com. "I talk to (Georgia basketball) Coach Fox once a week and our relationship is pretty good."
Langley's teammate and close friend Quincy Mauger is a UGA commitment, and he said the two want to play together. And he cited the proximity to Athens as another reasons.
Langley's decommitment leaves USC with 21 commitments in this class.
