OL Na'Ty Rodgers of Pomfret, MD is just a few weeks away from announcing his college choice and USC remains his favorite ahead of Maryland. "The lead is about the same," Rodgers said.
That lead will be tested this weekend, however, when Rodgers makes his official visit to Maryland with his mother and step father. He visited Washington, his father's alma mater, last weekend by himself. He also has been to Oklahoma and Nebraska and will visit USC January 18th.
Gamecock coach Steve Spurrier made his in home visit with Rodgers earlier in the week. "It was pretty cool," Rodgers said. "It was my first time sitting down and meet with coach Spurrier and talking to him. They want me to come in and get plugged in anywhere."
Spurrier has been the only head coach to visit Rodgers to this point and he's not sure when any of the others are coming in.
Rodgers will announce his decision at the Under Armour Game in early January.
