LB Yannick Ngakoue of Washington, DC was at the Under Armour Game this week and in a video interview late in the week with Rivals.com he said he was down to a final three of USC, Maryland and Florida State.
"If I go to Maryland, I can stay home and my mom can see me play," Ngakoue said. "With Florida State, I have a real good relationship with coach Sal (Sunseri). He tells me I could be a good fit in their defense. And South Carolina wants me to play inside linebacker and I like coach Spurrier a lot."
Ngakoue said distance will not be a factor in his thinking and he won't announce until Signing Day. "It's going to be what's best my mom thinks is for me," he said. "When I take my visits, I will know it's home."
He has visited Maryland and is scheduled to visit Florida State January 12th and USC the following weekend.
