South Carolina defensive end commitment Alfy Hill reportedly is going to go instead to UNC Pembroke after visiting there earlier this month.
Hill attends Los Angeles Valley Junior College and is a native of Shallotte, NC.
The Robesonian.com website, citing sources, reported that Hill is headed to Pembroke after stops at Alabama, East Carolina, a junior college in Mississippi and the school in California. Hill was committed to NC State before switching his pledge to USC.
Hill started at defensive end and linebacker this season before suffering a knee injury that ended his season.
His departure leaves USC with 19 commitments for the 2013 class.
