Defensive lineman Deadrin Senat of Immokalee, Fla., is on commitment alert regarding the Gamecocks.
"South Carolina is number one," said Senat, who visited USC last weekend. "I like them real good. Everything stood out to me. It was just different, things I hadn't seen before."
USC head coach Steve Spurrier and assistant G.A. Mangus are to visit Senat on Thursday, and he acknowledged that a commitment is on his mind.
"It's possible," he said. "I like South Carolina a lot but I'm still interested in all my offers. Everybody is coming at me hard."
Senat is scheduled to visit NC State this weekend. He has also been to South Florida, and the Bulls are second on his list to USC.
