USC has work to do with Ngakoue

LB Yannick Ngakoue doesn't consider USC a favorite.

Linebacker Yannick Ngakoue of Washington, DC made his official visit to USC last weekend and while the Gamecocks remain in the hunt, they aren't at the top of his list, according to one of his coaches.

"He said he enjoyed it and he's still considering them," said Friendship Collegiate offensive coordinator Mike Hunter. "It doesn't look like it's his top choice, but they are not out of the picture. He didn't say he's going to commit there, but he hasn't said that about any of them."

Miami was in Wednesday to see Ngakoue, and he might visit there this weekend. He has also visited Florida State and Maryland.

Ngakoue plans to announce on Signing Day at a time to be determined.

On Twitter Wednesday night, Ngakoue said: "I really appreciate the Gamecock fans for showing love. You guys are wonderful people. I'm really thinking bout coming back soon to Columbia."
