LB Christian Miller of Spring Valley Saturday committed to Florida while in Gainesville for a junior day. First reported by JC Shurburtt of 247sports.com and confirmed by his father, Corey Miller, Miller chooses the Gators over Georgia, Alabama and Florida State.

USC and Clemson had also offered Miller but had not shown strong interest otherwise.

"It's (a) perfect fit for him," said Miller's father. One of the major lures to Florida for Miller was new defensive line coach and recruiter Brad Lawing, the former USC assistant who coached the elder Miller at USC.

Last season Miller had 121 tackles with 21 tackles for loss and 14 sacks.
