DE Harold Landry (6-3 225) of Fayetteville, NC visited spring practices at USC and Clemson earlier this month. Neither school has offered yet but there is mutual interest between Landry and the schools.
"At South Carolina, I saw the best player in the country, Jadeveon Clowney, go to work," Landry said. "It was an intense practice, a lot of shouting and yelling. I like that about them. Their facilities are gorgeous, and who wouldn't want to go to the SEC. Clemson started out with the Oklahoma Drill. There was a lot of hitting, very intense. And they have one of the nicest facilities, too. I talked with coach Venables about coming to camp getting an offer." Landry said USC is evaluating new video on him in trying to decide on an offer.
He has also been to North Carolina twice and will go to Boston College April 5th.
His top group right now is USC, Clemson, Boston College and North Carolina with no favorite. "I'm trying to see what offers I get and evaluate them," he said. "South Carolina and Clemson offers would most likely move them to the top." Landry has offers from Boston College, Appalachian State and East Carolina.
Last season he had 95 tackles and 8 sacks.
