Six-foot-8 Darryl Reynolds of Philadelphia made an unofficial visit to Rhode Island Wednesday with his coach but said Thursday night the Rams are not in the picture.
Reynolds said his decision remains between USC, Villanova and Seton Hall, with his announcement to be made at his high school April 24.
He has visited USC and will visit Villanova and Seton Hall later this month. Reynolds talked with Gamecock coach Frank Martin earlier this week.
"I appreciate everything they did more me (on his visit)," Reynolds said. "They are still my number one but I've got to weigh my options. I have to look at the other schools. I like South Carolina but I don't want to say too much."
Asked if it will be hard for one of the other schools to overtake USC, Reynolds responded, "yes." He added that the proximity of Villanova and Seton Hall to his home is not a factor.
"I have family all over the country," he said. "You've got to go where you've got to go."
