OL Donnell Stanley of Latta will not be among the prospects in attendance this weekend for USC's first camp of the summer, but he hopes to attend the Gamecocks' Showcase Camp in July according to Viking assistant coach Chris German who is serving as Stanley's adviser during the recruiting process.
Stanley just started with a personal trainer and has a workout scheduled the day of the camp. Latta RB RJ McClam, who has an offer from Charleston Southern and is getting interest from Coastal Carolina Campbell, will attend the camp.
Stanley visited Clemson's camp earlier this month but did not work out. Stanley will go to a half-day camp at Alabama July 14th and will go from there to Ole Miss. He will then go to LSU July 17th.
"After he visits all the schools, he's going to narrow it down to four and focus on those four," German said. "He's trying to aim before the season (for a decision) but he said he doesn't want to rush." German said Stanley is not claiming a favorite.
Stanley talked to USC recruiter Shawn Elliott last week and has also been in touch with Clemson. Stanley has also been seriously considering Ohio State, Florida, Florida State and North Carolina.
