OL Damian Prince of Forestville, MD remains open about his decision according to his coach and the rest of his official visits will go a long way in determining his final decision. He has visited Maryland and Florida State and USC is next up on January 17th.
"He's very interested about getting on the campus and seeing what the campus is about," said Prince's coach Keith Goganious. "Meeting the coaching staff and things of that nature, he's very excited about taking that trip there and getting a feel for the campus and the campus life." Prince is also scheduled to visit Florida January 24th and Miami on the 31st.
Maryland is going thru a coaching change on the offensive line. In fact, former USC assistant Dave DeGuglielmo is a candidate. Goganious said he's talked with Prince about that and he understands coaching changes are part of college football. "That's why it's important for him to get to know the campus, he gets to know the teammates who are definitely going to be there, the coaching staff and the infrastructure that's in place because coaches come and go. My advice always has been to him to find a situation where you are going to be the most comfortable."
And Prince has yet to find that comfort level to define a leader according to his coach. "No, he really hasn't mentioned that. Even when he went with his five it was in no particular order. He will measure them on their own merits and what he's looking for, and their coaches on their own merits and things of that nature. He's going to look for a situation that's best for him on a day to day basis."
