Sheppard and USC look looking more like a pair

USC holding strong with 6-6 Shamiek Sheppard.

6-6 Shamiek Sheppard of Fishburne Military Prep, VA could be a USC commitment by the end of the month. Sheppard took an official visit to USC earlier this month and that’s been his only trip. He doesn’t have any other scheduled at this point according to his coach.

“Everybody is comfortable with where they are at,” coach Ed Huckaby Jr. said. “I haven’t talked to Shamiek much more about it or talked to Frank (Martin) any more about it. They like each other. I would think something will happen within the next week or two, by the end of February. I haven’t pressed the issue with either one. He might have decided but I purposely haven’t engaged him in that conversation. I want him to sit on it.”

Sheppard is part of an all-star program that has a dozen Division One prospects according to his coach. Sheppard, who signed with Towson out of high school in New York, is averaging 17 points and 11 rebounds per game this season.
