The much talked about career of South Aiken QB Bo Baldwin could be over. USC has pulled its offer of a grayshirt opportunity for Baldwin according to a source. The Gamecocks have told him he can join them as a preferred walkon.
Clemson also has talked to Baldwin about walking on and he has been accepted into the Bridge to Clemson program at Tri-County Technical College in Pendleton.
The source said Baldwin is not sure what he’s going to do but he might just decide to go to college as a regular student and give up on his football career.
Baldwin emerged on the statewide scene as a sophomore passing for 800 yards and 8 touchdowns. He played in only 3.5 games as a junior due to a broken collarbone. Last season he passed for 1285 yards and 11 touchdowns.
