Defensive back Damon Arnette of Fort Lauderdale completed his three-day trip to South Carolina on Sunday afternoon and could have a decision this coming week.
Arnette brought his parents along on this visit. He also attended USC's camp earlier this month for a day, but he brought his parents in this time for a closer look.
''It went great," Arnette said of this visit to USC. "I love their system and I think it's a perfect fit for me."
Arnette is basically down to the Gamecocks, Kentucky and Ohio State. He has also visited Kentucky and is scheduled to visit Ohio State on July 26.
'"I plan on committing very soon, maybe sometime this week," Arnette said, "I'm only considering three schools: USC, Kentucky and Ohio State."
Arnette did not tip his hand on a favorite. He has enjoyed his two trips to USC and he was also impressed with what he saw at Kentucky.
"I've built a really good relationship with Coach Stoops and Coach Ansley," he said. "Coach Stoops has a great reputation for putting out great DBs. They're planning on doing some great things up there and they want me to be a part of it."
USC defensive back target Jaire Alexander of Charlotte plans to announce his college choice Monday at noon.
