DB Damon Arnette of Fort Lauderdale is still holding firm with his USC commitment dating back to July but he will take two other official visits later in the month.
"Everything is still strong (with USC)," Arnette said. "As the clock comes down, they just want to make sure I'm not one of those kids that decommits. They have a plan in place and they think I'm a big part of that plan. We are going to be like those teams that are 11-2 and 10-3 and my class is on the way to pick everything back up. I'm still strong on them. I could see myself getting early playing time."
Arnette is only considering Louisville and Ohio State along with the Gamecocks. He will visit Louisville January 16th, USC on the 23rd and Ohio State on the 30th.
"Honestly, I'm not sure," he said when asked if either of the other two could flip him from USC. "I'll have to see when I get there. Right now South Carolina is the best place for me."
Arnette added that Ohio State's place in the national title game is not necessarily a big boost for the Buckeyes. "If that was the case, I'd be going to Florida State."
