The regular season ended last night for Huntington Prep, WV and the team won't play again until the national tournament in New York City in early April. That should give 6-10 center Levi Cook plenty of time to recover from a twisted knee that kept him out of last night's game. And it also will give him time to make his official visits.
USC is one of the offers for Cook and the Gamecocks remains strongly involved.
"Yes, we're still highly interested in each other," said Cook who has not taken any official visits to this point nor scheduled any. "I'm just chillin now."
USC saw Cook a couple of weeks ago according to his coach. He's also focusing on Virginia Tech, Western Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Missouri and Michigan.
The interest in Cook has accelerated as the season has worn on.
"He's playing real well," said coach Arkell Bruce. Cook has been averaging just under a double-double at 9 points and 8 rebounds per game.
Cook does not yet have a favorite.
