It looks as if there’s a bit more room in South Carolina’s 2016 football class.
Linebacker JaCorey Morris, a longtime member of the class, will not sign with the Gamecocks according to his coach. He was the second member of the class lost Monday, as wide receiver Tre Jackson decommited earlier in the day. Morris’s departure was expected.
Morris committed in August of 2014 and reportedly held offers from Clemson, Ole Miss, Kentucky and Mississippi State.
In mid-December, he said he had not heard from the staff.
