Austin Connor of Dutch Fork was on the phone again Monday with South Carolina recruiter Bryan McClendon as the Gamecocks continue their pursuit of the speedster.
"He's just trying to get a better relationship between him and me," Connor said. "He was telling me how they want me to come up there and how they want me to play both sides of the ball. They are recruiting me pretty hard, trying to talk to me as much as possible."
Connor visited Wake Forest Friday.
"It was pretty nice up there," he said. "They want me to come up there as an outside receiver."
USC is recruiting him as a defensive back.
He has also been to USC, Duke and Virginia Tech and is going back to USC on March 31. Connor has a track meet April 9 and won't be able to attend the Gamecocks spring game.
He's also planning to visit Tennessee April on 2nd and is going back to Virginia Tech on April 16. He's not close on a decision eying the beginning of his season or the end. He said Tennessee, Duke and Virginia Tech also are recruiting him hard.
