South Carolina senior Samone Kennedy was dismissed from the team by coach Dawn Staley on Saturday.
The 5-4 guard from Birmingham, Alabama played in 16 games this season with nine starts and was averaging 2.6 points a game. She missed five games early in the season with a right toe injury and then missed another four games for personal reasons later in the season.
She did not play in her first game back to due to coach's decision before returning to play the past five games before being dismissed.
Junior guard Marah Strickland has not returned to the team and has missed the last six games for personal reasons.
