Notes: Each team plays an exhibition before hitting the court for a this-one-counts game, although the Crusaders have another exhibition before beginning their season. North Greenville went 11-15 last year, while South Carolina went 25-8 and won one game in the NCAA tournament. The Crusaders have eight South Carolina natives on their roster, including four from the Midlands. USC redshirt freshman guard Tiffany Davis will not play. She is nursing a tender hamstring and while she could play, she will rest it for the opener. The game will be played under the new rules in the sport. For the first time, the 10-second backcourt rule will be in effect.
Next game: USC hosts Charleston Southern in its season-opener at 7 p.m. on Nov. 8.
