South Carolina women’s basketball forward A’ja Wilson will play Friday in the Gamecocks’ SEC tournament matchup with Tennessee after recovering from a bout of vertigo that kept her from the team’s final regular season game, the team announced.
Head coach Dawn Staley said in a pregame radio interview that Wilson is feeling “more like herself” than she has in the past week, and while the senior will not start, she will come off the bench.
Wilson missed USC’s final regular season game against the Lady Vols this past Sunday after beginning to suffer the effects of vertigo on Feb. 23. Throughout the week leading up to the conference tourney, Staley has repeatedly described Wilson’s status as day-to-day, most recently saying Thursday night that the All-American was “hour-to-hour.”

South Carolina and Tennessee tipoff at Bridgestone Arena at 7 p.m. eastern. The game will be televised on the SEC Network
