South Carolina’s A’ja Wilson was named SEC Co-Player of the Week for the second time this season on Tuesday, following MVP honors at a Hawaii tournament.
Wilson split the award with Texas A&M’s Courtney Williams.
Wilson led the Gamecocks in scoring and rebounding during every game of the Waikiki Beach Marriott Rainbow Wahine Showdown, beating Arizona State with two free throws with less than a second remaining and tying her career-high of 26 points against Cal State Bakersfield. She was in double figures against Hawaii.
Wilson and men’s forward Mindaugas Kacinas were each honored as Players of the Week by the SEC this week.
