Furyk moves 3 clear in Canada

Jim Furyk fired a 7-under 63 on Friday and he joined Tim Petrovic atop the leaderboard after two rounds of the Canadian Open.

Ile Bizard, QC (SportsNetwork.com) - Jim Furyk carded a 5-under 65 on Saturday and he extended his lead to three strokes after 54 holes at the Canadian Open.

Furyk, a two-time winner of this event, ended three rounds at 15-under-par 195. He missed tying the tournament's 54-hole scoring record by a single stroke.

Tim Clark fired a 6-under 64 and jumped into second place at minus-12. Kyle Stanley shot 68 and is alone in third at 10-under 200. Jamie Lovemark carded a 67 on Saturday and he is fourth at minus-9.

Tim Petrovic, who shared the lead after the first two rounds, stumbled to a 2- over 72 and dropped into a tie for fifth at 8-under 202. He was joined there by Joe Durant (67), Scott Brown (69) and Canadian Graham DeLaet (70).

Graeme McDowell (70) stands at minus-7 and is one of four players tied for ninth.
