Four more PGA Tour golfers have committed to the RBC Heritage Presented By Boeing.
D.A Points, Bud Cauley, Ben Crane and Brian Davis will play in the 45th annual event, taking place April 15 to 21 over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island.
Points is still enjoying his win at last weekend's Shell Houston Open. He opened with an 8-under 64 that led to a one-stroke win over Billy Horschel and Henrik Stenson. It was the second win on the PGA Tour for Points, who'll be making his third start at the RBC Heritage.
Cauley is a past Players Amateur Champion. His 2009 win at the Bluffton amateur event earned him an exemption into the 2010 RBC Heritage. The 2012 PGA Tour rookie, who had six top-10 finishes last year, was a three-time All-American at Alabama and represented the U.S. at the 2009 Walker Cup.
Never miss a local story.
Crane has four PGA Tour victories and is the leader of golf's only boy band. He is the mastermind behind the "Golf Boys" videos that also star Rickie Fowler, Hunter Mahan and Bubba Watson.
The Texas resident who grew up in Portland, Ore., has competed in the RBC Heritage eight times, making the cut seven times.
Davis has earned a pair of international victories and tied for sixth at last weekend's Shell Houston Open.
Davis made international news at Harbour Town in 2010 when he lost in a playoff to Jim Furyk. He birdied the 18th hole to force the playoff, which went back to the 18th tee.
Playing his third shot out of a greenside hazard, Davis called a two-stroke penalty on himself after touching a loose impediment during his backswing ensuring Furyk's victory.
Also in the field is Matt Bova, an assistant professional at Haig Point Club on Daufuskie Island. Bova shot a 1-over 73 last Monday in an 18-hole qualifier at Berkeley Hall to earn a spot.
The RBC Heritage is the only PGA Tour event in South Carolina and has been played at the Harbour Town Golf Links since 1969.
The Heritage Classic Foundation, the general tournament sponsor, distributes the proceeds from the tournament to hundreds of nonprofit organizations. Since it was founded as a 501 (c)(3) in 1987, the Foundation has donated more than $23.5 million to people in need.
Tickets: Daily tickets and weeklong badges for this year's tournament are now on sale online at www.rbcheritage.com or by calling the tournament office at 843-671-2448.
