The Lions Club concession stand at the 13th green has a new look this year for the first time since the 1970s.

The old one was cobbled together by Lion Henry Massey and others, when local civic clubs were first offered a chance to sell the concessions as a fundraiser. This year, the concession stand is located in a big, roomy tent.

The Hilton Head area now has more Lions clubs, and Sun City Lions were working the booth Saturday afternoon.

The Lions Club greater claim to fame is its sponsorship of Camp Leo on Hilton Head for legally-blind children across South Carolina.
