Ben Lippen is fielding a young team under coach Ryan Molony with the goal of improving on last season’s 7-13 showing. The major goal is to make the SCISA playoff cut after missing the party thanks to a 0-8 in region report card.
“We lost seven seniors off last year’s team, but our last two junior varsity seasons have been successful and this new group of players is used to winning,” said Molony. “The guys have a team first mentality. We’ll play as many as nine or 10 guys each game.”
Junior Wright Bynum, a 6-foot-3 forward who averaged 10 points a game last season, is the top returning Falcon. Senior guard Joey Barrett, a solid defender, is also back after filling a starting role in the second half of the season a year ago.
Aaron Mcguire, a 6-foot-3 junior, is back after missing all of last season with an injury.
