Six Midlands players have been nominated for consideration to play in the annual McDonald’s All-American Basketball Games in Chicago.
Heading the list of area stars is Heathwood Hall senior A’Ja Wilson, who is considered to be the top senior prospect in the nation. Dreher’s Kaydra Duckett, Chapin’s SheLeighya Sulton, Spring Valley Cierra Carter and Fairfield Central’s Jada Martin are the other female nominees.
Keenan’s Marcus Stroman is the only Midlands player up for consideration on the boys side.
The four twelve-player teams will be announced on ESPN on January 29. The boys and girls games are set for April 2 at the United Center in Chicago.
