Defending state champion and reigning Region 5 champ Lexington (16-7) opens its title defense at hone against Midlands rival Ridge View (13-12) in District V. Blythewood (17-6), Dutch Fork (17-6) and Richland Northeast (16-8) also earned first-round home games. Region 4 pennant winner Blythewood meets Laurens in District II. DF and RNE are No. 2 seeds. Dutch Fork hosts Carolina Forest in District VII and Richland NE welcomes J.L. Mann in a District III contest. As No. 3 seeds, Lugoff-Elgin (13-10) and White Knoll (11-12) are on the road. L-E is off to face Summerville in District VI, while WK is at West Florence.

Dutch Forks hosts Spring Valley (13-10) in another all-Midlands confrontation in District VI. L-E welcomes Hillcrest in District III play. White Knoll (8-18) travels to face No. 1 seed South Florence in District VI.
