Boys soccer - the last sport of the 2013-14 school year to start playoff action – begins its annual playoff run Tuesday with first-round matches in four classifications.
Locally, 17 Midlands teams have made the cut in three classes with several intriguing storylines. The most notable being Irmo’s quest to win another 4A, which, if successful, would be the first title run for the program without Phil Savitz at the helm. Savitz, of course, has first-year River Bluff in position to make a serious run at 3A glory.
