The Vikings have advanced to the third for the first time since 2003. DF had made it to the third round for the fourth time in the last five seasons. Lexington hopes to end the Wando curse. It all began when the Warriors denied the Wildcats in the 2007 championship match. Since then, Wando has eliminated Lexington in the Lower State bracket in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013. The Cats have never beaten the Warriors in postseason play.
