Polls: Dutch Fork remains No. 1 in Class 4A football

Dutch Fork (1-0) stayed at No. 1 in the state in Class 4A after its impressive opening-game victory against Greenwood.

Byrnes moved up one spot to No. 2 in the S.C. Prep Media 4A poll following a 30-22 win at Northwestern. The Rebels (1-0) snapped the Trojans’ 15-game win streak in a nationally televised contest. Northwestern dropped from No. 2 to No. 4.

Three Midlands teams are ranked in the Class 2A Top 10: No. 3 Batesburg-Leesville; No. 6. Newberry; and No. 9. Fairfield Central.

Myrtle Beach, Dillon and Christ Church remained No. 1 in the 3A through A polls, respectively.
