Irmo quarterback Anthony Jones hit Manny Banks with a 26-yard scoring pass with 39 seconds remaining as Irmo eked out a 17-14 win against rival Lexington on Friday night at W.C. Hawkins Stadium.
Georgi Hristova booted a 47-yard field goal to put the Yellow Jackets in the lead, 10-7, with 5:20 left to play before Lexington answered with a three-minute, 71-yard scoring drive to take the lead.
Jones finished with 111 yards on 12-25-1 passing, while Lexington quarterback Donny Baker led the game with 163 yards on 13-of-17 passing.
Jones posted 84 rushing yards for Irmo, and Lexington’s Slade Carroll notched 74 yards on 21 carries.
Irmo (2-7, 2-1) travels to North Augusta on Oct. 31, and Lexington (4-5, 1-2) hosts South Aiken.

CARDINAL NEWMAN 14, PINEWOOD PREP 7 At Summerville, the Cardinals improved to 2-8 with Can Tringali’s 166 passing yards leading the way. Parker DuBois led the Cardinals’ defense with three interceptions, and Bruce Spigener added two sacks. Andrew Latham paced the Panthers with 94 all-purpose yards and a touchdown.
Cardinal Newman hosts Thomas Sumter on Oct. 31 to close the regular season. Pinewood plays at Heathwood Hall.

HAMMOND 44, AUGUSTA CHRISTIAN 20 At Edens Stadium, on his first career carry, senior Blaire Epting got Hammond (9-0) rolling with a 5-yard touchdown run against Augusta Christian (4-5).
Hammond’s T.J. Brady finished with 17 rushes for 194 yards and three touchdowns, and linebacker Davis Bland had an interception, a fumble recovery, and forced a fumble.

GILBERT 52, AIKEN 38 At Gilbert, Jakayus Leaphart rushed for 287 yards and five touchdowns to lift the Indians. Aiken quarterback Bryson Jones put up 280 yards passing and three touchdowns. Nick Hendrix completed 11-of-17 passes for 145 yards for Gilbert.
The Indians (5-4, 2-2) next travel to Swansea for the Region 5-3A finale. Aiken (2-7, 0-4) hosts Midland Valley.

A.C. Flora (8-1, 5-0) faces Dreher in next week’s regular-season finale. Lower Richland (1-8, 0-4) will play at Richland Northeast.
CAMDEN 16, RICHLAND NORTHEAST 6 At Zemp Stadium, Camden improved to 5-5, 3-1 with its third consecutive win.
Richland Northeast (1-8, 1-3) wraps regular-season play against Lower Richland next week. Camden will travel to Chapin.
BATESBURG LEESVILLE 18, STROM THURMOND 15 At Johnston, quarterback Taylor Jackson was 9 of 17 passing for 144 yards and two touchdowns and added 83 yards rushing to lead the Panthers to the Region 2-2A title. Jaqaurious Hair made three catches for 67 yards in the effort.
Tyree Stidem led the host Rebels with 103 yards on 10-of-21 passing and 52 rushing yards.
The Panthers improve to 7-2, 4-0 and host Saluda next. Strom Thurmond (5-4, 2-2) hosts Ninety Six.
