Camden took over sole possession of first place in Region 6-3A basketball on Friday, courtesy of a clutch 75-73 overtime win over Wilson in Florence.
The host Tigers rallied late in regulation to force extra time, but the Bulldogs pulled it out with Terry Lee’s basket being the decisive score in OT. It was Lee’s lone field goal in the hotly contested game.
Camden now stands at 17-1 overall, 6-1 in region play. Wilson fell back to 5-2 in the conference.
Jay Council paced Camden with 17 points, but had plenty of help from Josh Council (15 points), Evrik Gary (12), Trence Turner (11) and SaVonn Wingate (11).
