Hammond came away with four medals at the Father Kelly Classic track and field meet at Bishop England on Saturday.
At the top of the list was the first-place performance by Aaron Walters in the 400 meters. The speedy junior grabbed gold with a time of 50.85 seconds.
The other medallists were Mason Castles and Cliff Ayers. Castles earned silver in the 1600 meters and bronze in the 800. Castles clocked in at 5:32.35 in the 1600, 2:36.35 in the 800. Ayers finished third in the high jump with a leap of 6-0.
Walters and Ayers accounted for the bulk of Hammond’s 18 team points.

The girls team cracked the Top 10 with 27 points, sharing 10th place with Woodland. The other scoring Skyhawks included Madison Kocher (5th, pole vault), Catherine Herring (6th, 1600), Margaret Deans Fawcett (7th, 400 hurdles), Danielle Cantey (8th, 100 meters) and the eighth-place 4x800 relay team featuring Herring, Gabbie Reinehart, Sarah Dobbs and Rachel Price.
