Ridge View, the state’s No. 1 team in boys cross country, breezed to a win at the Coastal Carolina Invitational on Saturday in Conway.
The Blazers dominated the field, posting a winning score of 24 points, 52 ahead of runner-up Carolina Forest. Ridge View, in fact, had all seven runners in the lineup crack the Top 11, though only five men actually contributed points to the team total.
As usual, David Jennings and Joe Keitt led the Blazer effort. Jennings was the individual champion with a time of 16:59.60. He finished one second ahead of Keitt.
Raeven Lance (6th, 17:37.58), Jay Lynch (7th, 17:45.77) and Mike Lantz (8th, 17:49.55) around out the scoring lineup.
Step Lambert and Tevin Yarborough also ran exceedingly well, but were out of the money in team scoring matters. Lambert finished 10th (18:24.99), and Yarborough was 11th (18:29.67).
