At Lancaster, Blythewood (7-1, 2-0) stopped the Bruins twice inside the 10 in the fourth quarter to hold on.
Brandon Wilds scored two touchdowns, one in the first quarter to start the scoring and another in the third to cap it, for the Bengals. His first touchdown, on a 7-yard run, finished a six-minute drive.
In the fourth quarter, with Blythewood up 10, Lancaster's Shaq Lamar returned a Blythewood punt to the Bengals 9. But, on fourth down from the 1, Zed Truesdale was stuffed by Blythewood defensive lineman Tre Minor with six minutes to play.
An interception by Blythewood's Kyle Edwards at his own 5 with 30 seconds to go sealed the win for the Bengals.

At Batesburg, Montagus Caldwell scored on a 4-year run to break a tie with 28.9 seconds to go, and Newberry pulled out the victory.
Marcus McMorris led Newberry with 129 yards on 14 carries and one touchdown as the Bulldogs ran for 226 of their 239 total offensive yards.
Caldwell finished with 59 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.
Batesburg-Leesville had 150 rushing yards. The Panthers were led by Ricky Adams who had 65 yards on five carries and one touchdown.
Newberry (6-2, 3-0) travels to Strom Thurmond next week. Batesburg-Leesville (4-4, 1-2) will travel to Mid-Carolina.
