Spring Valley’s wrestling team was dealt an overwhelmingly inexperienced hand last season with the result being a 4-13 dual match record. The much-more seasoned Vikings are looking for better things in 2009-10.
“I felt like we matched up well against five teams on our schedule and we won four of those matches,” said coach Rob Wells.
“Last year’s team battled through a lot, and had to grow up in a hurry. I’m cautiously optimistic this season. We have a number of young kids each year and this year is no different, but we do have a good bit of senior leadership and that will help things along.”
