Never miss a local story.
What was your biggest accomplishment this season? Having the most successful year I have ever had. Through that I have been able to make friendships with several runners from other schools.
What was the biggest obstacle you faced? I would have to say dealing with senioritis; I have been blessed to have not had many obstacles in my (running) career.
How do you keep yourself motivated? I am very competitive. I enjoy winning and being the best. I guess I get that from my dad.
Who is your biggest inspiration? It has to be coach Johnson, hands down. He is out there every day.
Why do you love your sport? If you truly want to be the best and you put the effort, time and miles in, you can be the best.
What is the best gift you have given someone this year? My friend Coles was pretty excited when I gave him a couple of Frisbee items and some Big League Chew.
What is the best advice you have gotten? It's important to not only to work as hard as you can in sports but to work hard in other areas, such as school, because sports do not last forever.
Where do you see yourself in 2020? I'm pretty confident I will be where God wants me to be, whether that's a business degree or something different.
What do you do with your free time? I love the outdoors, so I am usually out doing something outside ... playing some ultimate Frisbee with my team or playing some football with my friends.
What is the last book you read? "Macbeth."
