Hemingway boys capture 1A championship

Jalill Brown had 14 points to lead Hemingway to a 66-58 win against Great Falls for the Class A Boys state championship at the Colonial Life Arena on Saturday.
The Tigers (26-2) did not get a field goal in the final three minutes but used free throws to pull away from a 58-58 tie. Brown hit five of six free throws down the stretch.
Great Falls (24-2) was led by Torrey Craig with a game-high 34 points and 14 rebounds. It was the second straight year the Devils have been runner-up and was the 17th appearance in the finals for coach John Smith.
The Tigers had three other players in double figures: Suntrell Flagler had 13 and Jazjuan Wilson and Quintin Brown had 10 each.
