Dreher pulled off a Region 5-3A basketball sweep on Friday at home against A.C. Flora.
The Blue Devils girls team improved to 3-1 in conference play by downing the visiting Falcons 47-46 behind a 26-points effort by Kaydra Duckett, who was the only Dreher player to finish with double-digit production.
Alexis Jacobs and Allie Gaddis scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the Falcons, who dropped to 11-5, 2-2.
In the nightcap, the Dreher boys evened their region record at 2-2 with a 50-40 win over Flora. Quayshun Hawkins led the Blue Devils scoring parade with 13 points, and Tyler Harris added 11.
Frank Woods (13 points) and Terrance Segars (10) paced the Falcons (3-10, 1-3).
Elsewhere, Airport and Chapin split a conference twinbill.
Airport’s girls improved to 12-1 overall, 4-1 in region play with a rousing 61-35 success in the opener. As usual, Taylor Vinson (15 points), Julisa Muldrow (12) and Jessica Ellison (11) led the way for Airport.
Ambria Kibler’s 14 points led the way for Chapin (7-7, 1-4).
The Chapin boys (8-7, 3-2) ended a two-game region slide with a 48-46 win. Michael Weiler’s 15 points set the tone, while Brian Kidd and Conner Lowder chipped in nine points apiece.
Ricardo Martin led Airport (4-9, 1-4) with 16 points.
