Like neighboring Lexington, the White Knoll boys basketball team returned to Region 5-4A action on Friday night and rebounded from a conference-opening setback.
While Lexington was handing Aiken its first loss of the season at home, the Timberwolves (13-3, 1-1) pulled off a 57-45 victory at Orangeburg-Wilkinson. Darius Jackson led the way for WK with 16 points, and he had solid backing from Quinton Creed (13) and Xen Singleton (11).
Both Lexington and White Knoll girls fell in the respective doubleheader openers. Both teams are off to 0-2 conference starts
Lexington (5-4) dropped a 46-37 decision against Aiken. Laura Beth Neal led the Wildcats with 12 points. White Knoll took a 50-19 beating at the hands of the host Bruins.
