Lexington kept paced with Aiken at the top of the Region 5-4A boys basketball standings on Tuesday. White Knoll, meanwhile, beat North Augusta for the second time in eight days.
Lexington (18-5, 6-1) smoked host South Aiken 71-40 as Jalen Cook rang up 17 points. Shaq Roland (12 points) and Brandon Adams lined up with double-digit support. In all, 10 Wildcats contributed points.
White Knoll (16-6, 4-3) nipped North Augusta 70-69 after beating the Yellow Jackets road on the road on Jan. 25. Quinton Creed led the Timberwolves with 20 points, Austin Ducan scored 16 and Keith Jumper tallied 12. The win put WK in sole possession of third place.

Lexington 6-1, Aiken 6-1, White Knoll 4-3, North Augusta 3-4, Orangeburg-Wilkinson 1-6, South Aiken 1-6.
On the girls side, Lexington topped South Aiken 53-40 and White Knoll fell 40-25 to first place North Augusta.
Erin Munn and Jasmine Pinckney led the Wildcats (10-4, 5-2) with 16 and 15 points, respectively. Whiter Knoll dropped to 3-18 overall, 0-7.
