Blythewood landed three spots on the International Paper Classic all-tournament team. The Bengalls went 3-0 in pool play, but dropped a 10-7 decision to St. James in the championship game Thomas Bessinger, Brandon Burris and Grayson Greiner were the all-tourney selections. In four games, Greiner went 4-for-6 at the plate with four runs, four RBIs and two home runs, not to mention pitching three shutout innings to earn a save Joe Haas was named to the all-academic team The Bengals returned to serious business on Tuesday and scored an 11-1 win over Ridge View.
Hard-throwing Taylor Guerreri of Spring Valley threw a six-inning no-hitter and had two hits on Tuesday in a 10-0 Region 4-4A win over Lugoff-Elgin

Brookland-Cayce’s Chase Shelton and Zack Warner made the all-tournament team at the IP Classic in Georgetown. The Bearcats went 2-2 at the four-day affair. Warner was also the Bearcats representative on the tournament all-academic team B-C dropped a 4-2 decision at Midland Valley on Tuesday in its return to Region 5-3A action that allowed the Mustangs to take over sole possession of first place.

Austin Graham’s three-run double in the top of the seventh inning was the key blow in Ben Lippen’s 4-3 SCISA Region 1-3A win at Heathwood Hall on Tuesday. The host Highlanders had a 2-1 lead entering the last inning.
Joey Barrett was another Falcon’s headliner – going 4-for-4 at the dish. Greg Williamson was the winning pitcher.
Whit Hensely was 3-for-3 with a double, and Monrty Todd and John Lewis Orlandini had RBI hits for Heathwood. Sam Stormer pitched will for the Highlanders, allowing four hits and one earned run in six innings of work. BL victimized Hensley in the seventh.
Hammond tightened kits grip on first place with a 12-2 win at Augusta Christian. Andrew Lamb picked up the mound decision and Brooks Borders went 4-for-4 at the plate.
