Game notes: It’s the Region 3-1A opener for both teams C.A. Johnson went 2-3 in non-region testing. QB Eddie Boatwright is 34-for-77 passing for 636 yards and five touchdowns. Peter Goodman and Anthony Eaddy are the Hornets’ big-play receivers, both with eight grabs. Goodman’s net is 244 yards and three touchdowns, while Eaddy is at 230 yards and two TDs. Goodman also has two scoring runs on the books. Tyrik Parker is the CAJ defensive leader with 51.5 tackles Great Falls (1-3) has beaten only Camden Military, but this week’s visit to the big city marks the Red Devils’ first game of the season against a 1A foe.

Rock Hill vs. Ridge View
Site: District Three Stadium, Rock Hill. Time: Thursday, 7:30 p.m.
Game notes: Ridge View continues to struggle on offense, but excel on defense. Last week, the Blazers D came up big again in a 9-6 win over Lancaster. Tyler Parks led the way with 12 tackles, including 2 TFL and 1 sack, and caused one fumble. Chauncy Bess finished with five tackles, five pass deflections and two interceptions. The offense produced just enough – one touchdown by RB Gary Bradshaw, who finished with 87 yards rushing on 21 carries. To date, Bradshaw has 468 yards and three TDs on 90 totes The Bearcats (3-2) are coming off a 19-6 loss to Blythewood on Saturday night, managing just 104 total offensive yards with starting QB Corey Wessinger out with an injury.
Series history: Rock Hill has been a tough nut for the Blazers to crack. In fact the Blazers have never beaten the Bearcats. They are 0-5 vs. Rock Hill, including a 27-13 setback last season in the first non-region game of the series.
